RFID container management technology will make port transportation more

Due to the rapid development of the economy, logistics has become the infrastructure for economic development. The transportation volume of containers is getting bigger and bigger. How to carry out scientific and effective management? RFID container management technology will be used. Because RFID has great advantages in the field of automatic identification, RFID application and container will greatly improve the transportation management of containers. effectiveness. Previous container management was mainly realized through information management system combined with manual non-real-time manual data entry. Some advanced management systems use image recognition technology to identify the box number using the camera. These traditional methods of tracking, managing, and scheduling containers have problems such as low efficiency, high labor costs, high error rate, and poor real-time performance. Electronic tag (RFID) technology has been tentatively applied to container management and has achieved good results.

However, RFID adopts passive transmission technology, which has great dependence on personnel in the process of data collection, and it also fails to solve the problem of real-time collection of container information in the yard.

The sensor technology combined with RFID technology proposed the Internet of Things container management system.

1. Introduction to container management

The management of containers can be divided into two parts:

(1) The use and dispatch management of containers, including the management of container business information such as container allocation, dispatch, renting, releasing, insurance, repair, and reporting;

(2) Management of container status information, including container location information, classification information, cargo information in the box, and the like.

For non-real-time information, there is already relatively mature container management software. For much of the information in Part 2, in most cases it is solved by adding a lot of labor costs. The application of the sensor network proposed here is mainly designed for the second part, which can effectively improve the efficiency of container information collection and management.

2. Container Management System Structure

The wireless local area network real-time positioning system combines various technologies such as wireless local area network, radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensors to realize complex container monitoring and tracking tasks and accurately find target objects in a wide range of wireless LAN coverage areas.

3. System implementation principle

There are a number of rectangular container stacking areas in the container yard. Each area can discharge 4 to 6 boxes in parallel. Each row can be stacked with 4 layers and 6 layers. The entire yard has 2.4 GHz wireless network coverage.

The sensor nodes are designed into three categories according to the specific conditions of the yard:

The first type of node is a node placed in the container body and is responsible for sending container information;

The second type of node is a node deployed on the crane frame, which is responsible for collecting container information and sensing the signal strength transmitted by the first type of node;

The third type of node is the node that is placed in the crane control room. The node is responsible for collecting the information of the second type of node and connecting with the wireless network to send the collected information to the general control room. Each stacking area is responsible for one Class 3 node.

4. Using GPS technology to achieve container location management

The system uses a sensor network to determine the location of the container. For the purpose of positioning, assume two facts as a premise:

(1) The location information of the container stacking area in the yard is known;

(2) The containers stacked in all the stacking areas are completed by and only by the container cranes in the stacking area.

In this way, the position of the crane can be determined first by the GPS device on the crane, and then the position information of the container that the crane is operating can be obtained. Since all the container operations in the stacking area are completed by the crane, once the crane is operated, The location information of the container can obtain the change information of all the container positions in the stacking area, thereby determining the position of each container.

In the system, the core RFID data acquisition equipment will be installed in mechanical equipment such as gantry cranes, front hoists and stackers. In applications such devices, RFID readers should have basic data collection functions. The standards for the use of in-vehicle equipment are high, low temperature, electromagnetic compatibility, low frequency vibration, shock, etc., and the working environment is mostly outdoors, and the environmental conditions are also relatively harsh, which raises the selection of the entire RFID reader. The challenge.
