Wuxi builds an IoT industrial cluster and vigorously develops RFID, sensors and other industrial technologies

Facing the future, Wuxi, the "first voyage city" of the Internet of Things, is building a consensus, looking for opportunities in crisis, targeting key areas such as the industrial Internet and the Internet of Vehicles, and making every effort to build a characteristic industrial cluster that integrates software and hardware to promote the transformation of the manufacturing industry. At the same time of upgrading, it will accumulate energy for the competitive position in the future international industrial chain.

After ten years of exploration, a new technology has accelerated its popularization, profoundly changing the way of communication between people and things. Ten years of persistence, a new industry from scratch, from weak to strong, has become an important support against internal and external uncertainties.

The use of wristbands equipped with RFID electronic tags and special reading equipment can accurately display the patient's movement trajectory, and can also check the information of the people contacted, making it possible for the hospital to carry out closed-loop management throughout the process. During the epidemic, this set of medical IoT hardware and software solutions developed by Shiling Technology was put into use in hospitals in Hubei, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Shandong, Jiangsu and other places.

"Combined with the development reality of Wuxi's new generation of information technology industry, we are committed to promoting scientific and technological epidemic prevention, introducing supportive policies, encouraging enterprises to accelerate the independent research and development of new technologies and new equipment, and promoting the'non-contact' application of epidemic monitoring and prevention and control management." Wuxi Municipal Party Committee Secretary Huang Qin said.

In the war against the epidemic, a group of Internet of Things application companies used invisible data and information to build copper walls and iron walls. A group of IoT hardware companies are speeding up the production of high-quality chips, sensors and other equipment to help save lives.

In response to changes, Wuxi is focusing. Supported by the integrated circuit industry and relying on advanced information infrastructure, Wuxi is taking leading companies as the leader, major projects as the starting point, and high-quality platforms as the carrier to build an IoT industrial cluster, guiding different fields, different industries, and different growth stages The cross-border integration of enterprises reduces the operating costs of enterprises through the effect of industrial agglomeration and enhances industrial competitiveness.

From January to May, the output of electronic components and integrated circuits in Wuxi's equipment manufacturing industry increased by 30.5% and 13.2% year-on-year respectively; microcomputer equipment in the consumer goods industry increased by 39.0% year-on-year. These industries strongly related to the Internet of Things show strong development resilience. Driven by this, Wuxi's industrial investment increased by 8.7% from January to May.
